Hopes and Prayers.......... @ 02:17 pm
I think that "goodness" is a gift like having an ear for music or being creative. Recently, a gentleman that comes into my friend's shop (Matt) was placed in hospice. Matt and I had a lovely afternoon with him this week. Father Troy is a retired Episcopal Priest and one of the most charming and interesting people I've ever met. He loves poetry, classical music and a good cigar. He has a great sense of humor and has pranked several of us on the phone while he pretends to be St. Peter looking for references for Father Troy or the Devil looking for Father Troy. He is a gentle soul and would like to be here for Christmas. If you are reading this, I hope you'll say a prayer for this remarkable man. At the conclusion of our afternoon together, I asked if I could take his picture and he said "Yes, if you get in the picture with me." Here's the snap of me and Father Troy.
